Why Do I Always Forget?

Today I came home and got on the mat:

I did a simple 20 minute yoga download class:

Why do I always forget how wonderful yoga makes me feel?

Why do I always forget how centered, how stretched, how-at-home-in-my-body it makes me feel?

So glad I remembered today!

Afterwards I had a few sips of a new-to-me-treat:

Pom Wonderful is wonderful!  They sent me 8 bottles to try out.  I forsee a few cocktails in my future :)

Not Just Another Salad

I gave myself permission to sleep in a bit today and I can’t believe how much better I feel just having had 20 more minutes of sleep.

I think I need to do this more often!

Last night we had a fabulous salad.

While I was working out, Bill whipped together this beauty:

And we topped them with some whole wheat pasta with a bit of sun-dried tomato pesto dressing:

It was delicious and satisfying for sure.  I have some leftovers for lunch too so I am extra excited for my lunch hour 1/2 hour :)

I also have been excited about these snacks.

Lara Bar sent me these cute sample bars in all kinds of flavors.  I love Lara Bars!

And I am still finishing up all of my vitalicious treats.  I have yet to try these brownies but I am hoping to soon:

Well time to get ready for work-8 more working days!

Today my workouts are gonna be a walk to work and back and a yoga sesh at the end of the day.

Tofu Cheesecake

Yesterday I ended up going on a 22 miles bike ride with Sara.

I was supposed to run and do hill repeats but my new bike was calling me to get out and go.

It was wonderful!

Afterwards, Bill and I prepared for our Pizza Party.

He is a master dough maker  ;)

While he was preparing the dough, I was getting ready for our guests:

As if that was all not enough………………..Khrystle brought over tofu cheesecake from Santa Barbara.

It was delicious!

More and more I am convinced you do not need dairy in desserts at all.

Well I have a lot of calories to burn so I am off to run :)

It is the last day of vacation and I am sad……

Back to work tomorrow :(

Week in Review

Happy Friday Bloggies!

Laying in bed this morning I started thinking about the past week.

I really hesitate to make weekly goals because when I don’t live up to them I feel unsuccessful and like something did not get done.  Yes I have a type A personality when it comes to getting things done.

But I am pleasantly surprised to find that my non written goals for the week have been met.

  • I  walked everyday to work
  • I met with my trainer, Khrystle twice-accomplishing two great workouts
  • I had only one helping of food at dinner each night

I hope to continue these goals for the coming week and add in one more-yoga.

We shall see……life is busy and we can only do so much!
