So Sore and So Green

Yesterday was a great workout day :) .

  • I did my run and circuit in the morning.
  • Walked to work and home.
  • Completed a 20 minute Solar Yoga Flow from Yoga Download (with lots of chaturangas ).

This was all for operation arm tone and now…….

I AM SORE-OUGH!

I love practicing yoga.

My favorite pose is Eagle Pose.

What is your favorite yoga pose?

Last night I tried one of our new food products from Whole Foods:

This was $8:99 and worth every penny.  Try it if you want a good red!

For dinner I whipped up something with these four ingredients:

Another successful “cleaning out the fridge” dinner :)

Happy St. Patrick’s Day to all!

Are you wearing green today or doing anything fun?

New Food

What a busy and fun weekend.  I hope all of you had a chance to enjoy it as well :)

After the Birthday Shenanigans, Bill and I packed up the car with Pepsi in tow and headed to a mountain bike race.

But before we left I had the opportunity to  try out one of the new products I had won from Gelerah’s Tempt giveaway.

I made a green monster with LOTS of spinach, a banana, flax seed, whey protein, and Tempt Hemp Milk:

It was delicious!  I could tell the hemp milk made it creamier and richer tasting.

Very good-I would definitely buy it.

Can’t wait to try the Tempt hemp ice cream I also won :)

I had my shake with a 110 calorie bagel.  I love bagels but rarely eat them because they are so caloric however my mother in law (Mrs. Fit and Sixty herself!) loves these and now I am a convert.  They are so good and satisfying.

of course I topped the bagel off with almond butter!

So after the delicious shake we overnighted it at a Residence Inn and this morning Bill raced his mountain bike.

Here he is at the start line:

Here he is during the race coming through the “feed zone:”

Pepsi loves to watch too:

And here he is battling for 7th place.  He was not happy with his results (because he won last year) even though I think he did great :)

On our way home we stopped at Whole Foods and picked up a few more new food products:

Can’t wait to try these this week!

Have you ever gone to or participated in a Mountain Bike Race?

Have you tried any of my new food products?

Sister Day

Thank you for all of your Birthday wishes!  It was so fun reading the comments  throughout our Sister Day.

It was also fun to read how many other March Birthdays there are :)

We had what I would consider a perfect day.

We went shopping:

Had a delicious lunch:

We sat outside on these very comfy couches and ate. It was so relaxing.

The food was delicious.

Started with the hummus trio:

Then shared this amazing grilled artichoke.  It was so good you didn’t even need the sauce it came with:

And then we had the blackened shrimp.  I have never had such juicy shrimp.  These were to die for!

Of course the server surprised us with a piece of birthday cake.

I LOVE cake!

I was a good girl and only ate about 1/4.  I really wanted to eat the whole thing but I knew I would be stuffed.

After lunch we made a quick stop at Whole Foods.

Love me some Kombucha! A Birthday treat because they are SO expensive :)

And then my sis treated us to manicures:

Finally we met the boys for dinner:

Not the best picture of us :(

More cake!

I t was a great day!

Thanks Sister!

And thanks to all of my friends who made it special for me.  All of the emails, texts, and comments made my day :)

Hope you are all enjoying your weekend.

Time for a Green Monster with lots of Spinach and NO chocolate.

Red Boxes and Pasta

Last night hubby surprised me with this box when he got home:

 Look at the goodies inside:

He knows me so well!

I am a lotion “junkie” and I LOVE to try out new products for my face and my body.  I can never get enough.

We celebrated his homecoming with a little vino (you can’t beat “two-buck chucks” chardonnay):

And then I whipped up a little pasta dish using this pasta I got at Whole Foods on Monday:

I cooked the pasta.

Grilled some zucchini in the oven brushed with olive oil.

Once the pasta was cooked and drained, I put it back in the pot over raw spinach.

Added a bit of olive oil, sun-dried tomatoes, crushed garlic, spices, hot sauce, and these beans:

Mixed it all together with the grilled zucchini:

Yum!  I have yet to meet a pasta dish I did not like.

Hope you are having a great Monday!

Are you like me and have to go back to work tomorrow?
