Feeling Strong

Happy 1st day of July!  Isn’t July a wonderful month?

Yesterday we had quite the busy day.

We dropped off Melanie and Dave at the train station so they could get to the airport and fly to France.

We will miss them!

Then we got into a little accident :(   But we are okay and the car is not as bad off as we thought.

We then thought a trip to Whole Foods for a few things might brighten our spirits.

And it did except where is the Kombucha?  Did they really take it off the shelves due to the alcohol content?  Are you kidding me?

But we still got some fun things:

We walked two dogs and then came home for a fast and easy dinner.

A bagel thin spread with hummus, laugh cow cheese and topped with leftover steamed veggies and almond slices.  Weird but good.

This morning I am headed out on the group ride.  It appears that some of my “training” has been paying off.  I have been feeling strong on my bike.  I hope I feel strong on Sunday for my 5K.  Running is definitely my harder discipline.

What about you?  Do you find that some sports are easier for you than others?

I definitely feel like cycling comes easier to me when I train than running.

Hope you have a great day!

It appears like June gloom may have left to allow July to take over…..Yay for sun!

Remember one more day to enter my tea giveaway!

Cracked Up

Good Morning Friends!

One 5K run done this morning and a great bike ride in the near future-can’t wait.

But first I must share with you some of the lovely treats we received from Dr. Krackers the other day.

They sent us such an awesome variety!  The only crackers I have ever had from Dr. Krackers before were these and they are soooooo delicious.  I love spreading avocado on them for a snack:

If you have not had them-I suggest you buy them.  I can usually find them at Fresh and Easy and Whole Foods.

So far out of this lovely box, we have tried two flavors.

The first one is a sweet cracker:

So sweet and so crunchy and so good :)

Last night we tried a savory flavor:

So delicious paired with some good wine:

Have you tried any of these luscious little crackers?

Hope you have a great day planned.

Thank you for reading  and thank you for all of your wonderful comments-they make my day :)

A Kind Giveaway

Last night Bill made us a delicious pasta created with spinach and the tricolor pasta shells we got at Whole Foods yesterday.

I know I have mentioned it before but I LOVE pasta shells.  They are probably my favorite pasta shape ever.

What is your favorite pasta shape?

It was delicious!

Thank goodness I have some leftovers for lunch :)

Okay on to my giveaway!

Last week, I contacted Kind Bar and they sent me some Kind bars to give to one lucky reader.

Kind bars are one of my favorite go to bars when I need a snack.  They are gluten, dairy and soy free.

Plus they taste like “real” food.

They are also hosting a real cool event:

Tony from Kind told me about it:

“In addition to crafting great tasting bars, we have just kicked off Do the KIND Thing, a cause-driven initiative that your readers can become involved in. Do the KIND Thing lets people transform KIND acts into valuable support for important causes.  From March through June, your readers can Do the KIND Thing and support a cause of their choice just by doing KIND acts and inspiring others to do the same.  KIND will then donate up to $25,000 to the three causes with the greatest number of KIND acts linked to them by June 30th.  From big name causes such as the Red Cross to heartfelt community causes such as funding for a school’s art program – all charitable efforts are game.  Doing the KIND Thing is easy….just visit www.KINDMovement.com and follow the simple steps.

Very cool indeed!

This is what you will win Thursday morning if you enter my giveaway:

There are 3 ways to enter:

  1. Leave me a comment today :)
  2. Post the giveaway on your blog

Have a fabulous day!
