<p>You know me I tend to eat the same old stuff day in and day out so to me two new things in one day is BIG!</p>
<p>The morning started off with my typical <em>green monster shake </em>however there were some changes.</p>
<p>Instead of using Amazing Grass I used my new Vega Whole Food Optimizer:</p>

<p>I have been wanting to try this product for a while now.  I like the idea that it has all the &#8220;green&#8221; food plus maca plus chlorella and protein all in one.  And vegetarian sources of protein to boot.</p>
<p>I ended up using one scoop of Vega, almond milk, almond butter, flax seed, 1 banana and frozen berries:</p>

<p>I think this morning I will use half of scoop instead and omit the almond butter and add spinach.</p>
<p>It was very thick and much more filling than my usual mix.  But it tasted good!</p>
<p>Last night our dinner was created around this second <strong>new product</strong>:</p>
<p><a href="http://fitandfortysomething.files.wordpress.com/2010/03/img_1896.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-905" title="IMG_1896" src="http://fitandfortysomething.files.wordpress.com/2010/03/img_1896.jpg" alt="" width="467" height="351" /></a>My mother in law from <a href="http://fitandsixty.wordpress.com/">Fit and Sixty</a> turned us on to these egg white salads.  They have quite a few varieties at TJ&#8217;s.  We decided this one would be good in a salad.</p>
<p><em>First</em> I made a delicious mix of all things veggie:</p>

<p>It turned out sooooo good.  Granted it is not wild salmon which would explain why it was so buttery tasting but sometimes you just have to eat what you are craving.</p>

<p>So good! Especially on a big salad with hummus.</p>
<p>Before I made dinner though I did something I have not done in ions-YOGA.  I think Averie at <a href="http://www.loveveggiesandyoga.com/">Love Veggies and Yoga</a> has inspired me!  Granted it was just 25 minutes of Hatha Yoga from Yoga Download but it was amazing.  I forgot how much I LOVE it.  Thank you Averie for inspiring me to get my Yoga mat out.</p>
<p>Today I finally woke up feeling a bit like my old self.</p>
<p>Started with a warm cup of coffee and computer time:</p>

<p>And then felt energetic enough to go for a run!  It had been way toooo long. </p>
<p>I felt pretty decent though Pepsi was not too spry.  Sometimes she seems like a young girl and other times she seems like an old girl.  Today I was running with &#8220;old girl.&#8221;  Makes me sad.</p>

<p>Walked to work with my lovely ladies, Debbie and Julie.</p>

<p>The rest of the day went by in a blur.  Sometimes teaching is just one crazy episode of action after another.</p>
<p>And now, I am sitting here in my living room relaxing and getting ready to make something to eat.  I think lots of grilled veggies are on the agenda tonight.</p>
<p>After I completed my short yoga session I mentioned above, I realized it was something I had been missing from my daily routine.  I am going to try to do a few yoga practices each week again.</p>
