It’s Time…….for a Giveaway!

Lately, I have been writing, drinking and blogging a lot about this wonderful coffee:

Are you a coffee drinker?

I love coffee though I usually only drink one big mug of it in the morning with a bit of soy creamer.  After that I sip on tea all morning at work.

So my one cup of joe had better be good…………I enjoy every sip :)

Since I have been loving this brew and since my 41st birthday is fast approaching, I thought I would spread a bit of cheer.

One lucky winner will win a half pound of whatever flavor they would like to try.

Check out the site and let me know which one you would like and leave me the answer in the comment section.  I will choose a winner on Friday morning (the day before my bday!)

Hope you have  a great day friends and enjoy!

Munching

Lately, I have been mind fully munching.  Still eating nuts, crackers, and energy bars (one of my favorites being the Jumpstarter ones) as snacks but have been trying to watch how many calories I munch on when I do eat my snacks.

Because of this, I discovered a wonderfully lower calorie energy bar that is fun to eat because it reminds me of a fruit rollup:

Fruitition bars come in all fruity flavors.  So far I have yet to be disappointed with any of the flavors.

I have been eating a few of these:

So refreshing!

Last week while I was on my mini vacation, I also tried a few of the meal replacement bars because I did not have too much to munch on.

Here was my stash:

I really enjoyed the sweet and savory combo!  And they held me over to dinner quite nicely.

I have four bars leftover from my trip-and I would love to mail some out to some lucky winner!

All you have to do today is tell me what your favorite part of summer has been so far :)

Have a great day!

A Running Breakthrough

When I woke up this morning I thought, “can it really be Monday already?”  The weekend flew by too quickly.  I am really trying to enjoy each and every day as much as I can because the end of my freedom is fast approaching.

I am not happy that it is August already :(   I love summer.  I love not working………

There I said it.

But what I am happy about is that I had a major running breakthrough this weekend!!!!  I woke up Saturday morning too late to go to boot camp.  Bill and I might have gone out Friday night and had a few drinks and listened to live music downtown.  We might have ;)   And I woke up too late for that killer class.  Yet I still donned my running clothes and went out for a typical 3 to 4 mile run.

Now a little history about me and running.  I know I have run and won a few races lately.  BUT LETS GET ONE THING STRAIGHT-I have only won because I turned 40 and for some reason the 40 something’s I have been racing have been slow.  I did not post any real stellar times.  Also, I have a really hard time running fast when I “train.” If I ever run a sub 9 minute mile in training it is a miracle.

Well folks something changed on Saturday.  I use the Run Keeper App on my iPhone and it tells me my mile splits as I run.  If you are looking for a great running app this is the one.

Here were my splits:

Splits

1 6:40 -73
2 7:58 -58
3 9:58 97
4 8:51 3

I was shocked!  I finally did a few miles fast!!!

I really think my 3 days of HIIT workouts last week on the treadmill helped or something.

What do you think?

Anyway, I am excited and hope that this is a start of some faster running for me.

My next race is August 15 so we shall see :)

On another note-look what I found yesterday:

Yes I found some Kombucha!

And I found it at this little natural food market in Ojai, California:

Great end to a weekend is you ask me!

Hope you had a great one too.  Stay tuned because I have a tasty giveaway tomorrow.

Make it a great one friends :)

Bootcamp, Errands, and Fun

Today marks the final day of the Tour de France. Gosh it has been so fun watching the race this year.  I really feel like Alberto Contador won the race fair and square (don’t hate).  They always say part of winning The Tour is good luck and unfortunately Andy Schlek had some bad luck.  As some of you know though, I was rooting for Cadel Evans :(   He definitely had some bad luck this year.

Anyway, this weekend has been lots of fun.

Yesterday I went back for seconds with Boot camp.  Holy Moly I am LOVING this class.  You pay 10 dollars for a tortuous hour on the beach-money well spent in my book!

Then Bill and I ran around doing errands.  We are leaving tomorrow for a week.  He has training in Irvine so I am going to tag along-hopefully get some pool time and see my parents.

One of our errands was checking in on these pupsters:

Yup a Labrador of every color. Molly, Ginger and of course the Pepsi girl.

Later on we were lucky enough to hit up our favorite wine bar, The Wine Rack with our lovely friends.  Best way to spend a Saturday night for sure :)

Hope you had a great weekend too.

Today I am gonna run, pack, catch up on blogs and hopefully relax too.

Don’t forget to enter my giveaway if you have not.  I will pick a lucky person tomorrow :)

Have a great one!

Any comments on the The Tour if you were watching?
