What do you Do?

I know that most of you know that I am a school teacher.

How could you miss it if you have been reading my blog for any length of time ;) Sorry if I have bored you with my tales……

What we do for our living sometimes can represent who we are or not at all.

I feel as though being a teacher does represent a part of me but does not completely define me as a person.  However, it would be hard to imagine doing something outside of education.

My husband just started a new business recently and he is loving it.

I believe this new career path defines him more than other things he has done in the past.

Check out his website if you get a chance.

It may look a bit familiar to you ;)

I would love to know what you do……I realize I do not know what most of my blog readers and blog friends do!

If you care to share would you?

Have a great night……and don’t forget to enter my wine giveaway!

Adventures in Pet Sitting

I have to admit, I think I would rather be in bed right now.

When my alarm went off, I thought “you have got to be kidding.”

But I am meeting a rather large group of riders to ride around Lake Casitas at 8 am and I do love riding my bike-so I am up.

Oh the things we do…..

Last night I headed out to visit Bill.

He has a pet sitting company called Daley Dog Walking and he was pet sitting these two cutie pies:

Gracie

Max

Oh and I can’t forget the fish!

His clients have a beautiful home with views to die for.

So we sat outside and drank some of this:

And enjoyed the views :)

Hope you had a great Friday night too!

Do you have any fun plans for Saturday or Sunday?

Enjoy :)

Need Your Advice

Happy Thursday Evening Bloggies!

Thank you for all of your sweet comments today-I definitely felt hung over from the migraine and still sort of do.

But I did manage to get through the day and to take Pepsi-Bear on a walk after work :)

She loves to sniff:

And she loves to prance :)

I am obviously a crazy dog loving gal when I write about how my dog likes to prance!

Any other dog lovers out there?  I know Joanne from Apple Crumbles is!

Okay so I need some serious advice.

This Saturday is a 5K and a 10K.

Last year I was putting in a lot of miles and did both races on the same day but this year I need to choose which one to do.

They are both a mixture of trails and street running.

The longest run I have done so far has been the b-day run of 5.6 miles.

If you were me, would you do the 5K or would you do the 10K?

Help!

And of course if you have not voted for me yet, will you? :)

I think I am gonna make “burgers and fries” tonight.  Andrea from Can you Stay for Dinner inspired me.

What are you having?

Flat as a Pancake

Today was a somewhat uneventful day.

Woke up.  Walked Pepsi. Drove to work.

Hate driving but had an appointment after work that I could not walk to.

Worked. Went to appointment. Came home. Glad to be home!

As promised I wanted to share yet another energy bar recipe (yes I am obsessed).  This time I got it from this lovely lady.

She tweaked her recipe and I tweaked it further.

Started with the good stuff:

1 Ripe Banana (mashed)
1.5 c Oats
1/2 c Shredded Unsweetened Coconut
1/2 c Raisins
1/2 c Agave
1/2 c Raw Almond Butter
2 Tbsp Flax Meal
1.5 Tsp Cinnamon
1 Tsp Vanilla Extract

Mixed it all up and put it in the pan:

Instead of freezing the bars for an hour, I baked them for 30 minutes at 400 degrees.  The house smelled divine!

They turned out delicious BUT are falling apart.  I wonder if I should add an egg white to help them stay together?

Any recommendations?

They are still quite good and package up nicely.

Speaking of appointment, yes it was that time again to get my you-know-whats flattened out like a pancake in the name of breast cancer prevention.

I only mention it on this blog, because I am curious as to what you think of mammograms?  Some people say they cause cancer.  Some people believe in thermography instead.  Some people think none of it works.

What do you think?

Already looking forward to tomorrow because I can walk to work!

Have a great night.
