Back on the bike

This morning after walking Pepsi.

And eating biscotti oat groats with almond milk and almond butter.

I got on my bike!

Oh I have to say it has been much too long.

With all of the running, biking has fallen to the wayside.  But this morning it felt great.  And I got to meet up with my biking peeps :)

We ended up riding 20 miles up the coast and back and then stopped for a coffee.

Perfect low impact workout.  It felt good to pedal rather than pound the pavement.

Now I am off to have some lunch with a friend.

And maybe get some yard work done ;)

Have a good day!

Nothing Like

Hello Friends!

I can’t believe how quickly time flies.  I feel like I just blogged but in reality the last time I blogged was last Friday night-Crazy!

Thank goodness this week I have had my normal amount of energy again.  I got up Monday morning and did Level 3 of the 30 Day Shred.  I think this is my favorite level so far.  I love all the plyo moves that come with it.  This really is a great workout.  My plan is to wake up tomorrow and do it again :)

This week though there has been nothing like some good coffee:

We got this little gem from our favorite bike shop. I know-a match made in heaven bikes and coffee.

Take a closer look:

Love the description.

Cant wait to try some other flavors.  All of them have such unique names.

On the house front, there is nothing like…………

getting our appliances delivered!

Thank you Lowes work men.

Come to mama:

Now we just need a countertop, backslash and the microwave installed.

Pepsi seems to think it will happen soon :)

Hope you all have a great night and thanks for reading :)

Silent Supporters

This morning I could not wait to get up and have oatmeal.  It  had been way too long since I had a warm bowl of oats.

First, I broke the “fast” with some protein and fat (doctors orders):

Had my cup of joe:

After some blog reading in bed, headed downstairs for breakfast.

While I was making my bowl of oats………

I got the greatest phone call.

Bill’s coworker, Cole and his wife Luciana were at TJ’s searching for ingredients to make raw almond balls and some other creations from this blog.  I knew they were trying to eat healthier but I was so excited!  How fun to find out you have silent supporters : )

Thanks Cole and Luciana-you guys made my day!

Hope your “balls” turn out good……

And now back to my oats.

We were out of Steel Cut and so I had to  settle for traditional oats. They were not as good : (

This bowl had bananas, frozen mixed berries, dried cranberries, flax seed, and almond butter:

And some hot tea:Target seems to be the only place that carries my favorite so I stocked up last night!

After Breakfast, Pepsi and I went on a walk and then I dropped her off to get groomed.  She is one stinky girl!

Lot’s of silly dogs:

Did a relaxing and stretchy Solar Vinyasa Flow class from www.yogadownload.com.

And now I am off to pick up Pepsi.  I love it when she is super clean because I can really snuggle with her!

It is kinda a dreary day here but…………..

Bill is in the kitchen making pizza!

Hope you are having a great Saturday.

Failed Attempt

Well Operation Antioxidant was a complete failure.

I woke up feeling WORSE than I have felt all week.  I guess two glasses of wine does not cure a cold!

First thing I did before having my cup of coffee:

was call Mom and Dad to cancel my trip down South. Maybe tomorrow I will go.

Then I came downstairs and made myself  an amazing bowl of oats.  I think oats can make anyone feel good.  I started the oats cooking and cut up some bananas and apples:

Added them in to the mixture (oats and cinnamon):

This little one was sad none of the apples dropped to the floor:

Oh holy goodness-Look at my bowl:

I added more bananas on top, flax seed, a bit of agave, almond milk and almond butter.

Does anyone else enjoy oatmeal pics as much as I do?

If you do you MUST check out this Tribute to Oatmeal page on Kath’s Blog.

After my breakfast and shower I put on my new shirt:

Got it at my favorite Wine Bar.

and new ring:

And then headed out the door for some fresh air.  Gosh I wish I could run or ride my bike.

Pepsi and I walked around the neighborhood nice and slow and then stopped in at our favorite bike shop on the way back home.

We just got home and I made a “super cold-fighting” shake for lunch.  This is what it had in it (plus spinach):

Now I am going to sit outside in the glorious, warm sun with a cup of tea and my new book (The China Study).

Does anyone know if drinking herbal tea is as good as drinking water?

Hope you all have a great day!  Enjoy the sunny weather if you are reading from the West Coast.
