Secret ingredient

I am having one of those days where I am feeling sore from all my riding and hiking and yard work endeavors.  So I am taking it easy and getting some much-needed chores done around the house.

However I did take a moment out for a smoothie lunch.

Instead of making my smoothie with spinach today, I decided to use:

  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 2 scoops chocolate amazing grass
  • 1 scoop hemp protein powder
  • 1 scoop peanut flour
  • 1 cup frozen berries
  • 1 banana

And a secret pick me up ingredient.  As you know I am achy and dragging today……

It was a great addition and I am already feeling the caffeine kick ;)

Perfect for a sunny summer day.

On another note, Pepsi just got groomed and she is looking too cute.

She not only looks cute she smells good too :)

Being Civilized

This morning I had the pleasure of going into work a bit later than usual so I got to eat a civilized sit-down breakfast.  Bill was even able to join me! Usually I am running out the door with a Tupperware full of oats in one hand and a green monster in the other.

Today I relished in my extra time and whipped up a smoothie in a bowl.

First I started with my typical green monster goodies:

  • unsweetened almond milk
  • frozen berries
  • spinach

And added two of my favorite things right now:

Then I added my serving of steel-cut oats:

And then my blended up monster with raspberry and banana toppings:

Delicious and fun to eat.  I especially liked “finding” the oats in the middle :)

How do you POM?

This morning I whipped up a delicious smoothie.

I made it a bit different than normal because I am out of my fav Amazing Grass.

I used Tempt Hemp Milk, Living Harvest Hemp Protein, Trader Joe’s organic cocoa powder, almond butter, frozen berries, and POM juice:

It was so good!

Delicious!

In Honor of the Hump

I really enjoyed reading about what you all do for a living on my last post.

I loved finding more out about my readers.  We are such a diverse group! I was glad to see there are quite a few teachers out there too.  And to answer the question as to what I teach-I teach middle school math and science and I have been doing it for 12 years now :)

I also really appreciated all of you who clicked on Bill’s new business venture because as you know with every click you move up on the search engines-so we REALLY appreciated the views :)

Since it is hump day already I felt it was time to celebrate! Yay for the Hump!

I have been really enjoying Living Harvest products lately.  I so love their hemp milk and their coffee biscotti “ice cream.”  I also love their hemp protein.  It tastes much better then all of the other ones I have tried.

I really like adding it to my morning smoothie along with the hemp milk and amazing grass:
