Last Day In Irvine

Well today is the last day of my pseudo vacation. I am looking forward to going home tonight and seeing this face:

And of course to sleep in my own bed

Yesterday I ventured back out to the Irvine Spectrum for some more shopping. Now I am not a big shopper but this place is amazing. Not only do they have shopping but they have all these beautiful waterfalls mixed in between the shops:

I walked around a lot and enjoyed the beautiful day. I did end up buying a few pairs of Lucky jeans but mostly I enjoyed the scenery

All the walking got me hungry so around lunch time I decided to try something I have heard so much about but have not ever tried before.

Super smart choice for lunch. This was THE BEST FROZEN YOGURT EVER!

I got the original tart flavor with some strawberries and shaved chocolate. I think next time-oh yes there will be a next time my dear Pinkberry-I will just get the yogurt with no toppings. It is that good!!

YUM!

Today I am going to get a run in before I need to check out and then venture over to Mom and Dad’s place until Bill gets off work and then we will drive on home.

Build Your Own Breakfast

As I mentioned earlier this week, I love the free breakfast at hotels especially when they have some good staples like oats and bananas.

Since Bill is working everyday, we have been enjoying our little breakfasts together before he leaves in the morning.

Our ritual looks like this:

We start with a bowl of oatmeal and raisins. Not as good as steel cut but it will do:

Then we add in some hotel mix-ins (strawberries, granola, bananas):

And then we add the one thing we brought because we cannot live without it right now

Yes I stow this baby in my purse for emergencies!

Wish he could stay and play with me

Some of my Favorites

I love to try new products and to share them with the people around me. I am not a product “snob” and will try pretty much any product-expensive or thrifty.

While I was getting ready yesterday morning I realized when I packed for this week, I really only brought my truly favorite products with me in an effort to safe space in my luggage.

Currently these are my top three picks (again I apologize for the iPhone pics):

Olay Night of Olay Firming Cream. This little miracle can be picked up at Target for about 7 dollars and is such an emollient cream. You can also feel it firming once you put it on. I love it and love the price even more. Works very much like a 50 dollar cream for sure.

Philosophy the Supernatural tinted moisturizer with SPF. This little miracle is about 30 dollars but is well worth it if you do not like to wear makeup and want a SPF that is not greasy. I wear this everyday. It is like putting on a bit of foundation and SPF all in one. The tinted color seems to easily adjust to my face color.

Bath and Body Works Moonlight Path body lotion. First off I can go totally crazy in Bath and Body Works so I have to stay away until I really need to restock. This is the scent I always grab when I go. It is light and feminine. In fact, most times when I wear it which is almost daily, I always get compliments on my smell

What are some of you favorite products? I am always looking for new and fun things to try!

On a side note:

Yesterday I went to the Irvine Spectrum for shopping thanks to a suggestion from Robyn and then I saw Eclipse!!!!! Oh I really thought it was the best Twilight flick yet. So good……

Today I am off to hang out with my parents.
