Course breaker

This morning Bill got up early to run an 11 mile trail race.

I slept in a bit and then took a leisurely walk with Pepsi to Starbucks.

I had coffee.

And Pepsi had biscotti.

And then I came home ane had my overnight oats while watching Tori and Dean :) . I know terrible reality TV!

Lately I have to be honest, my overnight oats are more like 1 hour oats but they seem to work just as well.

Once breakfast was digested (about 1 hr) I got my runners on and went on a refreshing 6 miler along the water.

It felt good to zone out and enjoy the scenery.  Sometimes it is nice to run with others and sometimes it feels good to just be by yourself for a while.

By the time, I got home Bill had gotten back from his race  he casually informed me that he not only had won his age category but that he had won the whole race AND broke the course record!

Now I know he has the running bug!

I am so proud of him :)

Go Bill! Wow, that is so exciting!! I prefer to run alone, but it would be nice to have company once in a while, but my husband doesn’t exercise and my daughter hates running. :(

    Happy Friday!
