This morning Bill got up early to run an 11 mile trail race.
I slept in a bit and then took a leisurely walk with Pepsi to Starbucks.
I had coffee.
And Pepsi had biscotti.
And then I came home ane had my overnight oats while watching Tori and Dean
. I know terrible reality TV!
Lately I have to be honest, my overnight oats are more like 1 hour oats but they seem to work just as well.
Once breakfast was digested (about 1 hr) I got my runners on and went on a refreshing 6 miler along the water.
It felt good to zone out and enjoy the scenery. Sometimes it is nice to run with others and sometimes it feels good to just be by yourself for a while.
By the time, I got home Bill had gotten back from his race he casually informed me that he not only had won his age category but that he had won the whole race AND broke the course record!
Now I know he has the running bug!
I am so proud of him

Way to go Bill!! What was his time? Is that his biggest grin or what??
still not sure of exact time yet…..
Course record, whoo hoo!!

Very cool for Bill! How do you make your overnight oats – in a slow cooker?
overnight oats are just in the bowl with almond milk…no cooking needed
In case Bill missed the memo, “HE ROCKS!” Thanks for sharing:-)
yay!
Three cheers for Bill!
thank you!
Great job Bill!!! That is amazing, what an accomplishment. You deserve a bowl of overnight oats!
Congrats to Bill! I’d have the running bug, too, if I were winning races!

That looks like a fantastic run – and what a great race!
And nice that you got your run on too!
It’s so great that you both motivate and inspire each other <3
Go Bill! Wow, that is so exciting!! I prefer to run alone, but it would be nice to have company once in a while, but my husband doesn’t exercise and my daughter hates running.
Happy Friday!
That’s fantastic. Also gotta love a race along the water, how did you do?
