We walk the walk

Happy Friday!

Lately Bill and I have been on a walking mission :)

We seem to really enjoy getting out and walking after dinner.

I enjoy walking because it helps clear my mind from a busy day, it gives Bill and I a chance to catch up and it relaxes me.  Plus it gets us off the couch.

I also like the extra calorie burn :)

Well it is finally Friday and I could not be happier and we have a long weekend ahead.

For me I am gonna run (already did!) work, get my hair done and then enjoy the weekend!

And you, any fun plans in store?

Bill and I are gonna ride our bikes, have dinner with friends, and enjoy the down time………

Enjoy!

  1. Such a gorgeous route, I’d be walking it every evening too!

Have a great weekend, I just go back from the hairdresser so it seems we had the same plan for this weekend.

I have to take Bella for a walk every day and I’m glad about that because no matter the weather: you have to go out. I walk her 3 to 4 times a day and 1 walk has to be 30 minutes or more. When I walk I never bring my Ipod like I do with running, I enjoy the walking itself, thinking and enjoy the company of Bella.

What a gorgeous view! Can’t believe you are jealous of where we live ;)

  6. I decided to take a vacation day today. So, I got up, went for a short walk (to get coffee and pick up some hot sauce at the store), walked home. I started baking bread (it’s rising), took Nick to school.

Now it’s breakfast. I will pick Nick up from school (instead of having him in the after school care). Then we are going to have pizza, come home, watch a movie, and go to a potluck at our farm. (Need to still make the chile relleno casserole with collard greens.)

Rest of the weekend: party at a friend’s house, run (literally) to the farmer’s market for eggs and avocados (will enjoy my first Saturday off from triathlon training – I love the training, but it’s a huge 3 hour time-suck).

    LOVE IT!

    I love simple evening walks.

I need to try and get them started again!
    Happy Friday

  8. I got my hair done monday!! (being a hairstylist this is quite a feat let me tell you!! It had been since may!)
I am laying low as I go on birthday vacation monday!! woohoo.
I wish I had the energy to walk after work .. but standing all day, my tootsies are usually cooked by the time I get home.. that is why I exercise in the a.m.
    enjoy your weekend K!

Funny – my AOL (do they still exist?) handle was WlktheWlk@aol.com. I worked in Tech Support Live for them for awhile. I spent several hours a week glued to my MAC fielding text messages from poor lost people trying to find their way around AOL. The time went by quickly but it was stressful with up to 8 members firing questions at you at one time.

  10. That’s great about the walks, I look forward to my nightly dog walks. My plans include running, relaxing and another visit with my grandma. Not too exciting, but that’s alright after a crazy week!

  11. Nick and I have been bad about walking lately. We used to walk just about every night, before summer came around and before he got a new job where he has to go to bed by 9:30pm. I think our new goal is to start running together a couple nights a week. It’s just a great excuse to get outside and off the couch, like you said!
Enjoy your long weekend :) We’ve got some dinner parties and just relaxing to do….I’m excited.

I’m just so happy to not be on the road, I’m going to enjoy doing “home things” this weekend and feel no pressure to do anything special! Have a great weekend, Kalli!

We are doing more walking lately after dinner too, maybe we are subconsciously influenced by you guys! It’s great!
