Great harvest hike

Today was glorious for two reasons.

  1. I went on an awesome 2 hour hike with Ashley
  2. We went to Great Harvest Bread Company for lunch.

Lets get to the hike first :)

I met Ashley at the trail head.

And we hiked up to another waterfall.  Most of the hike was uphill going out and downhill coming back. The views and scenery were so beautiful and it was a perfect temperature.

Once we were finished we were famished and raced over to Great Harvest.

I have not been to a Great Harvest Bread Company since I left Reno, Nevada 4 years ago. I have been reading about their wonderful bread and sandwiches on Kath’s blog and knew I had to visit the one here in this town where we are pet sitting.

Oh I was so excited!

Ashley had never been so she was pretty excited too :)

I ended up getting a turkey sandwich on honey wheat bread.

It was fabulous and totally hit the spot.

So glad we went.

Can’t wait to go again.

Oh and I brought home a snack………

Is there a Great Harvest near you?

  1. I wish there was a great harvest by me, but we just don’t have them yet in NY. That hike looks beautiful! Glad you had a great day!

  2. Oh fun! Kind of jealous. We don’t have a Great Harvest – never heard of one actually. But I do love a company that makes really wholesome bread like that. We have a place here called Boulevard Bakery.

    What a beautiful hike!

I used to go to Great Harvest in Boulder Colorado, but haven’t lived near one in years!

YUM, I love avocado on sandwiches! We have a GH here, but I don’t often go…I think I should :)

Great Harvest looks like it is worth searching out, YUM

  6. Great hike pics, looks like a great day. There is a Great Harvest not too far from me, one day I’ll check it out!

  7. Glad you had such a nice hike! Gorgeous scenery!

How exciting that you got to go to Great Harvest Bread Co. That sandwich looks so tasty!

  8. Johanna B says:

No Great Harvest here. The nearest one is in Lawrence and it’s very small. It’s hard to believe it’s the same franchise after looking at KERF. They do make bread (duh) but don’t do sandwiches or other stuff. Not worth the trip since they don’t do GF.
