Today my friend Terri and I left the “house-sitting-house” to embark on a 32 mile road ride. It was a perfect morning with temps hovering between the high 70′s and low 80′s. We enjoyed beautiful scenery, great conversation and undulating hills while getting our miles in.
However the ride was a bit harder than I expected! Really our 32 miles felt more like 50 hard miles.
It ended up taking us 2 1/2 hours to complete those darn miles.

But we felt so good when we were done
Terri kicked my butt on the hills towards the end.
And I was just so happy to be done
Afterwards I had to hurry and eat lunch and shower because I needed to get to my dentist appointment. On my way our of town though, I stopped at my beloved Sprouts (oh I am gonna miss you when this house sitting gig is up!) and grabbed a Kombucha to go with the raw macadamia balls Bill whipped up the other day.
Plus I made it to the dentist on time
Enjoy!

Well, I gotta say, at least you looked cute on that ride
you are to nice! i was a hot sweaty mess underneath those clothes!
Wow! great job!
I hate those rides that are supposed to be easy and end up way harder than the longer ones! But, good calorie burn in a shorter time LOL
Woo Hoo. Excellent ride Kalli!!! You look great in that outfit! And Bill’s balls look perfect. (I’m SOOOO childish. Did I actually write that??? Yes, seems I did.
) Have a great day!
Awesome ride! I always feel better after kicking out a challenging workout! And the macadamia balls sound divine!
okay, that pic is POST ride??? geesh! I wouldnt look that good PREride!! those macadamia nuts sound yumalicious!
32 miles sounds like a lot! It would definitely feel like at least 50 to me too. You look adorable on your bike – I try to wear pink as often as possible.
I understand feeling like a sweaty mess. I walked home from work yesterdy and by the time I got home my clothes were soaked through. It took nearly an hour to feel normal again. The walk felt great – the humidity not so much.
Wow, what a ride! Love your pretty in pink bike kit though!
Blogged about the bars today, thanks again!! YUM!
thank you kath!
what a beautiful day for a long ride.
I’ve been trying to get us on an after work bike ride but I can’t seem to get my guys to GO with me!
sheez.
good for you and I miss kombucha!
