Motivated All the Time?

Hello Friends! Happy Friday :)

Thank you for all of your kind words about our rings.  We are really excited and feel quite official now ;)

Today I woke up quite unmotivated to work out.  Why is it that some weeks I am feeling GOOD and others I can’t even imagine running around the block?

Do you ever feel that way?

I did go on a long walk with Pepsi though.  I usually find that walking sometimes gets me going and then I am ready to tackle a harder workout.  We shall see if that works for me today.

Anyway, I hope that some goodies I got in the mail yesterday will help with my apathy towards working out.

  3. I definitely don’t feel motivated all the time, but I’m on a good streak now! Eating really well (more portions that actual food) I’ve noticed I go on a week-by-week basis that I’m working on changing.

  4. I have not tried Honey Milk. I look forward to your review. There are definitely days when my motivation wanes. Sometimes it’s just a matter of changing up my routine and getting out of a rut that I didn’t realize I was in. Sometimes it’s because I need to rest and recover more than I thought. Amazing how that happens ;-) Happy Friday!

  5. Not that it helps any, but I feel like that so often. It’s actually comforting to know I’m not the only one.

  6. Oh yeah. I definitely have “off” weeks! Last week was one of those for me. I’m glad I got back on track this week for the most part.

  7. Ohh I’ve never tried/heard of Honey Milk. I’ll be curious to hear your thoughts on it! I have trouble getting going some days but I’m always much happier when I do it then when I don’t!

    I too had no desire on this Friday to workout so I did pilates for a bit, but my pup insisted he wanted to stretch too. Sometimes you just go with it!

  9. I seem to go through phases where I am really motivated to workout for several weeks at a time, and then I need a serious break for a few days. I’m in a “break” mode right now. :)

    Haha, it’s funny that I read this right as I was thinking “I REALLY don’t want to run today.” The hardest days for me to get motivated are the days when I have nothing else to do, because I love to be a bit of a slug sometimes. Usually I get up and go because I have to and that’s the only time I can fit in my workout, which somehow makes it more manageable!

  11. I have never tried honey milk, you get to try all the interesting stuff! Taking husband to doc, he hasn’t got any bettere since Tues. night. Not sure what is going to happen.

  13. I am notorious for having “on” weeks and “off” weeks and I blamed it on my menstrual cycle. Though I admit, the correlation isn’t as precise as it should be! I’m actually feeling unmotivated today and need to go for a bike ride. Maybe I should walk my dog first?

    I just spoke with a local running guru about Honey Milk this week. He said it’s a great drink to have after a long run – with the protein/carb mix, it really helps recovery. Keep us posted and I’m going to try it, too.

  14. OH yes, do I ever have up and down days and weeks. walking almost always pulls me out of a slump. WHY I did that this week as a matter fact. Glad to know I am not alone~

    never ever even heard of Honey Milk. Can’t wait to hear all about it!

    ps, I did run today…half run, half walk. I did it; I was happy.

  15. I try to tell myself that every so often you need an off week, so when I’m not feeling it and I’m not training for an event I just take it easy and go for a walk. I’ve actually never heard of that drink before.

  17. Oh yeah, I’ve been lacking in the motivation area this week too with sinus issues. Never tried Honey Milk, looks interesting.

  18. Never tried Honey Milk and not gonna like, looks a little scary to me. I so have those days where I can’t motivate to workout or feel like working out but suck at it big time. Other days I’m on fire. Weird.

    times when I’m not motivated and it usually means it’s time for a change- even if it’s

  20. I find that I lose motivation when I am tired/burned out or injured both of which can ruin the joy of working out. When I am feeling good and rested the motivation is usually there!

  21. Now that my half marathon is looming closer, I feel so NOT motivated to run. But hey, you NEVER regret a workout but you do regret not working out (sometimes!). Honey milk just sounds good too

  23. I always blame my lethargy/aches on pains on the weather. But, I mean, what else am I going to attribute it too?

  28. The less I work out the less I feel motivated to work out. However, I sometimes don’t really feel like it which usually happens once a week. That’s when I’ll take a rest day ;)

  29. For myself, I noticed that if I’m tired or haven’t had a good sleep in a couple nights I am so much less motivated to work out. I’ve never heard of that milk, I can’t wait to hear what you think about it!

    By the way, your rings are gorgeous!
