I have a husband who is great in the kitchen. I know I am lucky
As most of you know he can whip up homemade pizza that is swoon worthy for sure. In fact, we are trying a fun creation as we speak.
But my post is not about pizza-it is about this bowl of oats Bill handed me this morning:
Take another look:
Yes my friends those are steel-cut oats cooked to perfection swimming in almond milk and covered in voskos fig yogurt. There is also cashew butter and medjool dates and raspberry jam in the mix. It was incredible!
Great fuel to get me through the prologue of the Tour de France
And our two-hour walk with these cutie pies:
What a day!

Love the oats, love the dogs.
I need to find a husband who can make me oatmeal that good. Need to add that criteria to my online dating profile
Those are my kind of oats. Yum. Was that more sunshine I saw? Hope that means June Gloom is officially done with.
That’s a great bowl of oats!!!
oh me oh my!! I would love to be at your house for that meal. Perfect setting…..yummy oats, coffee, and feet up watching the TOUR..PERFECT!
Happy 4th!
Just had to tell you. I went on my first walk around the campus since my MI 5 weeks ago. The first mile was easy, the second got harder, and by the last half I was dragging. Possibly I shouldn’t walk it in the blazing hot humidity. I survived though and look forward to doing it again and again. Today’s the fourth and it’s been raining all day. They haven’t yet, but they are talking about cancelling the fireworks for tonight. Merde!
Yay for the Tour finally starting up!
I’ve never had Voskos…bit fig flavored yogurt? That sounds delish!
That’s a super looking and sounding bowl of oats. Now….what about your race? How did you do? Did you have a great time?

Wow, the oats look amazing. And what beautiful weather for pup-walking, sounds like a wonderful day! I need a pink harness like that for my chihuahua.
I have never heard of that fig yogurt either, but I thought you must have added extra fruit. It looks delicious! Tell your husband that if he every wants to publish some recipes, I would love to have him!
