Last night we had a fun night with friends.
Sara and John had a BBQ at their home. They made delicious, good, healthy food. It is so nice to “go out” to dinner and know that what you are eating is good for you and won’t make you feel “heavy” the next day

I will be back to work on June 21 and will have full computer access then. For now here’s a bit of the story. (I can’t find your email address to send it to you privately)
When the chest pain started (two weeks ago right now) I had just gotten back from an hour walk. I took a shower and fixed my lunch. I started getting this aching in my chest. It felt like muscle pain. Then I broke into an incredible sweat and I wanted to lay down cuz I was feeling wesk and dizzy. I started coughing from the nausea and something told me not to lie down. I somehow knew that if I laid down to wait for the feelings to pass that I wouldn’t wake up. I was home alone with no phone. I got my purse, put on my slippers, locked my door, walked across the driveway to my neighbors and rang his doorbell. When he answered I told him I was his neighbor, I didn’t have a phone and could he call 911 cuz I thought I was having a heart attack. The sweetest sound I ever heard was the ambulance coming down the street. They immediately gave me oxygen, placed IV access, and started an EKG. It showed two blockages. It was a short ride to the ER and they told me that the folks in the ER were waiting for me. I opened my eyes and there was a row of angels waiting to take care of me. One nurse cut off my clothes while the others did medical stuff. It didn’t take long before they took me to the cath lab where a cardiologist did an angiogram and found one major blockage which he then opened with a balloon and placed two stents. I don’t want to go through this again. I spent 24 hours in the coronary care unit before being placed in a regular room on the cardiac floor. Rehab is done on an out-patient basis and I go three times a week.
I am feeling stronger each day but there is a lot of fear associated with recovery and I have some anxiety.

I’d like the sauces for the meat (fish?) in the first pics. And what’s in the salad. That’s EXACTLY the kind of bbq i want to do this summer. Forget the sugar and the mayo.
wow, what a view!
That view is stunning! This is the perfect meal — healthy and satisfying! Hope you’re having a fantastic weekend!
