Pepsi turns 12 years old today:
Bill picked her about 10 1/2 years ago from Guide Dogs of the Dessert.
She was a “flunky.”
She has never been a flunky to us:
We call her many names
- Pepsi girl
- Cola bear
- Puppy bear
- P-cake
and Pepsi!

She looks so sweet! Happy Birthday!We have a 9 1/2 yr old rescued great dane mix. He is the best dog we have ever had. Will guard my children to the death, but is gentle enough to let me put my hand in his food bowl while eating. He is so spoiled he has not only a giant cushion to sleep on but 2 blankets and a pillow as well. If he could he’d have his own twin bed.

I have 2 labs who are just over a year old. I sure hope they stay with me for a long time, too.

What a sweet looking girl. I have 2 Cocker Spaniels – both rescues. Isn’t if funny how we call them all sorts of crazy made up names?!
Heath gets called: Heath Man, Heathy, Bubba, Bubsy Bubby Man
Madeline gets called: Maddie, Madness the Badness, Maddy Mad Mad (and sometimes a few choice words I shall not mention)

I have a Bernese Mountain Dog at home that I completely adore. He’s featured in my about me page
I have an old cat. He was my mother’s and I inherited him when she passed. He’s got long black fur and green eyes. His name is Smokey Joe He’s very affectionate and sleeps curled up next to me. I love animals.
wow!! Pepsi so doesn’t look 12!! you go girl! Sawyer is my baby and he is 5.5. Chocolate lab.. staring at me right now as i write. I hope he looks half as good as pepsi when he hits her age!!!
I have so many names for my cat. It is cute how we seem to call our pets by nicknames more often than their real name. Oh, and you are one loved blogger, those are some amazing goods you received!

Gorgeous little puppers. Wouldn’t expect her to be 12! My dog was gray at age 8 (and was put down in February).

oh my GOSH….I had a co worker about that long ago, who was training a chocolate lab…for that same organization….and she was a “flunky”…and he let her be adopted.
then he got a second one to train. He used to bring the puppers to work…do you remember Pepsi’s orginal name? or was that it?
I have to ask my boss if she remembers..

oh wow, I just asked…Forrest was the dog’s name and he finished the program and found an owner…happy as can be. Than he got another dog (same type) another male named bayou. and he was a flunky due to hip issues…and my co worker kept him.
but it was all about the same time frame! how funny is that..and it WAS from Dogs of the Desert.

We just had our 2nd Betta fish funeral yesterday. Finn #2 was found floating. On to Petco to buy Finn#3.
One lucky dog! I love labs. I have a friend who is blind (unfortunately he lives in Ireland) and has a black lab seeing eye dog. I always thought it would be great to have one of these well trained dogs. Usually they only have them for 8 years or so.
No dogs here yet – the kids want one though – so maybe someday. For now we have 2 cats, 11 ducks, and 14 chickens!
