Rock it Old School

Last night we made up a big pile of green beans with olive oil, sea salt, pepper,  and pumpkin seeds:

Which we paired with a delicious salad filled with spring mix, radishes,tuna, shredded parmesan cheese, raisins, and more pumpkin seeds:

It was quite good.

We watched a few episodes of Californication on Netflix.  Any one else a fan?

And then it was time to pick a winner for the Thermal Hoodie!

We decided to Rock it Old School :)

Filled out raffle tickets with everyone’s name on it and put into a bowl:

My assistant mixed them up really good:

Then picked the ticket:

Madeline from Greens and Jeans won :) !

She said she could wear the Hoodie with Yoga pants to work-CUTE!

Today I am looking forward to my first speed workout with Khrystle.  We are meeting this afternoon.  I am still a bit sore from our strength training sesh so we shall see…………

I’ll report back later to let you know how it went.

    Gym. Treadmill. 3 miles. 9:20/mile. Teeny bit of circuit training…too many people on the machines.

    Now off to work.

  3. Yayyyyyyyyyyyyy! Tell your lovely assistant thank you very much for picking my name! I did a fartlek workout on the treadmill and I’m currently sitting here all sweaty trying to muster up the energy for a weights circuit!

    your bike is RAD! (am I allowed to use that word anymoe?) but it is!

    workouts. I have been a knitting sloth this week. each morning I AM GETTING UP for my run…and every morning I have just not managed to pull it off. I will get at least 2 runs in this week..one being my longest run at 4.5 miles and I am super excited about that..I have been doing my nightly yoga and pilates and strength stuff (squats, push ups whatever) but cardio? no way. lazy schmazy this week.

    At the gym today I’m due to do half hour of sprint intervals and a weights workout but I’m not feeling so hot and debating pjs instead. But I’ll probably go…maybe…

    Today’s workout was light cardio, I did the elliptical for 45 minutes. My legs are so tight, though, so I might do some yoga later in the day. Good Luck on your speed workout!!

  9. Congrats to the winner! I planned on running a 5k on the treadmill today – my hips were not in it, and I had thoughts of stopping after 20 minutes, but carried on at a 4.0 mph pace at 5% incline to finish the 45 minutes.

    Love the bike!

  10. Congrats to Madelaine!
    As for my workout – cross training, weights and a short walk. Shane’s tummy was on the mend and since he had to fast yesterday, I didn’t want to go for our usual recovery run. There’s always another day.

  12. I love your recipe deals. It’s so easy to eat something that tastes good without making it unhealthy or adding too much! Sometimes I see the body of bikes like that (not as nice of course) locked up at school on the racks- people will actually loot bikes for any parts they can get!

  15. Mmmmm, the green beans look great and something I would do! I got through the first season of Californication on NetFlix Watch Now – good show!

    Yup, I’m working out today in the home gym, cardio and Bowflex. Sweet looking bike frame.

  19. Did you work out outside again? That workout in the park looked so wonderful! I hit up the gym for a little running/cardio session since it was cold outside…and rainy! I hope the sunshine comes back so I can get outdoors again.
