Happy Friday Bloggies!
This morning I thought it would be fun to share some of my highlights from yesterday.
First highlight was a glorious run in the morning. I have had a few things on my mind lately and sometimes the only thing that will clear it is a good run. I felt so much better afterwards.
Next highlight was a really yummy and very green Green Monster to start the day. This one had almond milk, 1 scoop Vega meal, flax seed, banana, frozen berries, and lots of spinach-YUM!
I just love starting the day with one of those!
Next highlight of the day was this silly face. I had just given her a treat. Unfortunately I missed the picture of her eating it because she is sooooo fast when it comes to grabbing those snacks from me. Not sure any camera could keep up!
I think she wants more. She looks starving.
After work I headed over to the next highlight of the day:
Yes I got my hair done. I have to admit it-I have gray hair-it sucks-I am getting old. I have to go to my favorite girl every six weeks. She keeps me looking beautiful! Thanks Rachel : )
And the last highlight of the day was his and her pastas.
Tonight was “make your own pasta” night. We boiled up a big pot of pasta. We mixed white and wheat. And laid out a bunch of toppings.
His:
Yes that is hummus on top. Am I the only one who likes hummus on everything?
I wanted to mention a couple giveaways that are going on around us.
- First one is a delicious Hershey’s giveaway at Apple Crumbles.
- And the second is a tea giveaway at One Fit Foodie.
Speaking of giveaways! I won one! I never win anything…….Check it out at The Nutritious Foodie. Thanks Gelareh.
Do you have anything fun planned for the weekend?
I hope to do a 5K on Sunday but it is supposed to be pouring rain…..We shall see if I can be as tough as Berni!
Have a great day and thanks for reading : )

I’ve been putting hummus on salad and pasta recently. This week I put it on celery and dipped my steamed broccoli in it. Great!
Weekend for me: I hope to squeeze in a 10 mile run without getting wet. Which will probably be a challenge.
I’m not sure TOUGH is the right word, CRAZY is probably a better description! It was actually fun running in the rain but if it’s windy and rainy that’s probably a deal killer. I hope you get good weather, I know how much you’ve been looking forward to it!
I won a give away recently also! It’s like early birthday presents for us!!
Have a wonderful friday my friend!!
xoxo
ohh lookie me sneaking in here…Rebel that I am!
GO FOR IT…I NEED to run a 5k SOON…I am getting so so itchy!
I have to get outside this weekend but I forgot about the rain….boooooo
we are doing home repair type things..oooh goodie!
xoxox
Races are always fun, even in the rain! Rock it girly!
I love hummus! I can use it on just about anything. And it’s so good for you. This weekend we are headed to NW Ohio. Gonna stop at a winery for some wood fired pizza and wine. YUM!
Good luck in your 5K! Kick some butt
All your salads look great! Good luck in the 5K, weather should be fine.
I am practically jumping out of my skin (that’s my excercise for the day). Why? Come rain or shine, come what may, I’m going to see Alice in Wonderland this weekend. I also feel a sushi binge coming on.
I predict this movie will impact fashion and hair. Just imagine, big hair and cinched waists. Wild! My only complaint is I’ve heard that Tim Burton dislikes cats and he had the Cat developed in his mind long before the other characters. I’m keeping an open mind, hard as it may be. I may have to shield our cat-child Mister Silly from this nonsence when I puchase and watch the DVD in the future. Obviously, he has never met my felines. I feel a bit sorry for the chap.
Enjoy the 5K.
I’m going to admit that I too get my hair colored. Sometimes I go to a salon but it is so time consuming and expensive that I have been using a box at home.
Good luck with the 5k…I hope the weather holds out for you!
TGIF! I have gray hairs too and need to get my hair done again … sigh. Congrats on the giveaway! Hope the weather holds up for the 5K, supposed to rain all weekend here too :-/
I like hummus on lots of stuff. Today I had it on Pita chips. I feel like it is going back to my roots, the food of my people.
I am doing a workshop tomorrow and then have a busy day of cooking, shopping and cleaning on Sunday! The weekends are never long enough!
I agree weekends are not long enough!
